Andrew Rugasira, Chairman and Managing Director
Andrew is a consummate senior executive, change agent and social entrepreneur. He is acknowledged nationally and internationally for groundbreaking efforts in driving large-scale change through the development of various agri-business value-chains that generate revenue growth and community transformation.
Andrew has over 25 years of experience in corporate strategy, marketing and communications, and leadership coaching and mentorship. He is a published author, has received numerous international awards, and sits on a number of corporate and non-profit boards.
Andrew holds an MSc in African Studies, from St Antony’s College, University of Oxford, UK, and a BA(Hons) in Law & Economics from the University of London, UK.
Francis Gimara, Director
Francis is a well-respected attorney with over 16 years of legal experience. He previously served as President of the Uganda Law Society (2016-2017) and has been awarded the title of Senior Counsel in recognition for his contribution to the development of the legal profession in Uganda. He supports several public interest initiatives and institutions and is the co-founder of the Center for Public Interest Law.
Francis holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from Cambridge University, UK, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School (Herriot Watt University), a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Makerere University, Uganda, and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, Uganda.
CAthy Rusagara, Senior Advisor
Cathy has over 20 years of experience in operations, supply chain and logistics management at various multinationals (Siemens, Mitsubishi Electric, and Abrams Chronicle).
Prior to setting up Maceglobal Ltd., an agribusiness partner to farmers trading in soft commodities and fresh produce in Kenya and Uganda, Cathy was a Supply Chain Director with Lafarge in Tanzania.
Cathy holds an MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management form Cranfield University, a PgDip in Management Studies (Siemens), and a BEng & Com in Manufacturing Engineering & Business Studies from The University of Birmingham. She has also completed the Executive Leadership Development Programme at INSEAD.
Evode Rusagara, Senior Advisor
Evode has over 20 years of experience in financial services, accounting and auditing, and wealth management. He started his career in auditing with the Four Seasons Group, before working with Sungard Alternative Investments, London, then moving on to Barclays Wealth, London. He is currently the Managing Director of Spurion Group Ltd (Selcom), Uganda, a fintech service provider to leading telecommunications companies, tax authorities, and utility providers. Evode brings a strong expertise in financial services and operations.
Evode completed his professional training at the Chartered Institute of Management Accounting, London, and holds a BSc in Business and Hotel Management from Florida International University.
Cezar rugasira, associate Director
Cezar is an Investment Banking Analyst in Goldman Sachs’ London and Johannesburg offices. There, he works on M&A advisory work in a range of industries including Natural Resources; Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT); and Industrials. Prior to this, he completed Private Equity internships at Sovereign Capital Partners, and The Carlyle Group.
Cezar holds a First Class Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
